Gw barusan dapet e-mail dari skolah. Ada 2 e-mailnya, yg pertama ngajak untuk ikut seminar dan yg kedua buat ngasih tau ada lomba essay untuk dapetin scholarship berupa uang tunai, dan ini kayanya untuk murid2 International Studies aja ato semacem itu. Juara 1 dapet $1000, juara 2 dapet $500, dan juara 3 dapet $250. Lomayan juga. Tapi jujur gw ga ngerti apa2 sih. Ini nih keterangan tentang essaynya:

"The Role of NATO in the 21st Century"
The United States' role in extending a nuclear security guarantee to
allied nations
in Europe has diminshed since the Cold War, and several new security
threats have
emerged. North Korea has conducted nuclear tests, Iran may soon have
nuclear weapons,
and there are terrorist organizations who aspire to using weapons of
mass destruction
against the U.S. and its allies. Russia and the U.S. are no longer on
the brink
of nuclear war, but tensions still exist from disagreements over
missile defense,
NATO expansion, and the Russian invasion of Georgia.
Students should address the following questions:

* How has the deterrent usefulness of the U.S. nuclear umbrella changed
since the
end of the Cold War?
* What effect, if any, has this had or is it likely to have on
nonproliferation
and disarmament efforts? How important are these efforts for the
security of all
NATO partners?
* Is NATO still needed to provide a nuclear security guarantee to its

Gw lagi berpikir untuk ikut. Siapa tau dapet. Kalo ga juga gpp. Sante aja, nothing to lose. Malah bisa dapet banyak pelajaran dari bikin ini. Tolong doain gw supaya berhasil. Kalo gw dapet $1000 kan gw beli PS3 jadi gampang, trus ntar lo gw ajak maen deh, hahahahaha.
